Redeeming Love
December 28, 2008 3:20 pm Food for your soulI’ve never been much of a reader, but recently a good friend gave me a book that I couldn’t put down. This book called “Redeeming Love” by Francine Rivers is a skillful retelling of the biblical love story of Gomer and Hosea in a tale set against the exciting backdrop of the California Gold Rush. The heroine, Angel, is a young woman who was sold into prostitution as a child. Michael Hosea is a godly man sent into Angel’s life to draw her into the Savior’s redeeming love. This book opened my eyes to see how God’s love can take away a past full of hurt and abuse and give you a future that is full of hope and joy. I hope that this book touches your heart the way that it has touched mine.
